| Last night, the Frederick County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association gathered for the 33rd Annual Awards Ceremony, an evening dedicated to honoring the outstanding dedication and service of our volunteer personnel. Held at 1900 hours at the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company Social Hall, the event brought together volunteers, Auxiliary members, leadership, and community supporters to celebrate the extraordinary efforts that define our organization.
The ceremony highlighted individuals and companies whose commitment to training, response, and community service stood out over the past year. Awards recognized exceptional performance, lifesaving actions, and the countless hours volunteers contribute to strengthening fire and rescue service across Frederick County.
Throughout the evening, speakers reflected on the courage, skill, and quiet persistence of the volunteers who show up day after day—often without recognition—to protect and serve the community. The sense of pride in the room was unmistakable as honorees were applauded for their achievements and contributions.
The night served not only as a celebration of accomplishments, but as a reminder of the deep tradition of service that the FCVFRA and Auxiliary continue to uphold. It was a heartfelt tribute to the men and women whose dedication ensures that Frederick County remains safe, supported, and resilient. |
