| Today, we proudly honor the outstanding dedication of our volunteer firefighters in Frederick County. Volunteer Firefighters Recognition Day is a time to recognize the men and women who selflessly give their time, skills, and commitment to protect our community.
Within our combination service, volunteer firefighters play an essential and irreplaceable role. They provide and maintain our stations, purchase and operate apparatus, and deliver critical emergency services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Their service ensures that Frederick County residents have dependable fire, rescue, and emergency medical response whenever it is needed—day or night, rain or shine.
Our volunteers uphold a long-standing tradition of service, teamwork, and professionalism. Their contributions strengthen the entire fire and rescue system and embody the true spirit of neighbors helping neighbors.
