This week, April 26 - May 3, as red lights illuminate buildings and landmarks across our community and nation, we pause in solemn remembrance of the firefighters who have given their lives in the line of duty. This simple act creates a meaningful symbol of remembrance and unity.

Their sacrifice stands as a profound testament to courage, duty, and an unwavering commitment to the protection of others.

We shine red to honor their enduring legacy.

We shine red to acknowledge the weight of their service.

We shine red to affirm that their names, their contributions, and their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

In this moment of reflection, we extend our deepest respect to the families who bear the immeasurable loss of a loved one, and to the fire service community that continues to uphold the values these fallen heroes exemplified.

May these lights guide our hearts with gratitude and keep alive the spirit of those we have lost.
