Gear Up, working with Frederick County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Services, helps recruit new volunteers for the Frederick County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association — aka the amazing people who keep our community safe.

Our volunteers are everyday folks from all over Frederick County. We’ve got teachers, tech workers, parents, students, retirees, and yes… some who work in fire/EMS professionally too. No matter your job or background, there’s a place for you in one of our 25 volunteer fire and rescue companies across the county.

What do they all have in common?
They’re big hearted, dedicated people who train hard, step up when the call comes in, and give their time to help neighbors in need.
