Frederick County Government Offices Closed on Juneteenth

FREDERICK, Md. - Frederick County Government offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19 for the Juneteenth holiday. County offices and services will return to regularly scheduled hours on Friday, June 20. Clarifications to the holiday schedule:

• Animal Control: Administrative offices will be closed, and kennels will be closed for adoptions. Animal Control Officers will be on routine duty and may be reached at 301-600-1544. For emergency situations, call 301-600-1603 or visit FrederickCountyMD.gov/AnimalControl.

• Division of Solid Waste and Recycling: Administrative services will be closed. The Reichs Ford Road Facility, including the transfer station, recycling center, and yard waste drop off will be open regular hours. Please consult the Recycle Coach App or call 301-600-2960 with questions.

• Frederick County Courts: Frederick County Circuit and District Courts will be closed.
• State's Attorney's Office: Office will be closed.

• Transit: The Transit office will be closed and all Transit services will be canceled for the Juneteenth Holiday. MARC Train will operate on the R schedule, and MTA Commuter Buses will also be in service. Transit's Meet-the-MARC will not be operating.
